“I am writing to share my experience to-date with Islington Village Child Care Centre at 112 Jutland Road in Etobicoke. Julia and Christina opened their family run business in early 2013. A few months ago at the age of 18 months my daughter was one of the first children to be cared for at the brand new daycare. She has been in the toddler program two mornings per week.
Since the first day I dropped my daughter off I knew that she was in safe, caring hands. The facility is extremely clean, the food service is healthy and nourishing and my daughter enjoys the welcoming, fun, warm and bright environment. Each day, when I pick up my daughter, she is happy. The children spend lots of time outdoors on the brand new play structure with clean artificial turf and in the area for riding trikes and toy cars. They also spend time reading, singing and doing crafts all while learning new skills and socializing with friends.
I am deeply satisfied with the level of care my daughter receives from the wonderful staff at Islington Village Child Care Centre. It is a comfortable and inviting place with attentive and caring staff members. I have already referred several friends to the Centre and I highly recommend Islington Village Child Care Centre to other parents who ask me about our family’s experiences.”

“Islington Village Child Care Centre has been a wonderful environment for our daughter. She started when she was 11 months in the infant group and we felt in trust from the beginning. The food always seemed delicious and very healthy, the facilities are clean and safe. They even have a gym when they cannot go outside because of the temperature. Our daughter was always happy to go see her friends at daycare. Not to mention that her caregivers were just awesome. They were always kind and we could see that they really like children. My daughter improved lots of skills while she was at daycare. We were so sad we had to move and find another daycare. I definitely recommend this daycare to any parents looking for excellent care for their little ones.

Finding the right pre-school for our older daughter was challenging and stressful for us. When we found you, she was recently diagnosed with ASD and we had just had negative and somewhat traumatic experiences at two other schools. From the beginning, we felt welcomed into your community. The smiling faces of all the staff and the willingness of your teachers to chat with the girls (even while on their breaks) speaks to the child-centred philosophy and culture at IVCC.
The care and love are evident in all the little gestures, the thoughtful comments from your staff and the genuine interest they take in the children. Both of our girls talk about their teachers constantly and we don’t rush to pick them up at the end of the day because they love school so much.
