Each member of our professional team is qualified in the field of Early Childhood Education. Equally important, our educators are carefully chosen not only for their experience but also for their warmth and enthusiasm.

We ensure that all educators have the following information on file

• updated health form

• criminal reference check

• child and infant CPR & first aid certificate

• signed program statement implementation policy

When conflicts arise, we use positive redirection for a peaceful resolution.  Children are encouraged to use words to express themselves when problem solving with their peers. Educators role model appropriate behaviour through suitable language, consistent guidance and praise.

Educators are encouraged to attend workshops on and off site to maintain current, fresh and educational programming and teachings.

Islington Village Childcare Centre is proud to be a teaching facility.  We welcome students and volunteers specializing in the childcare field. This program benefits all educators, students, volunteers and children.  The children profit from extra hands available for assistance while participating in new and special activities. In turn, carefully supervised students and volunteers gain extensive experience for their future careers.
